EAGLE LAKE UPDATE

This past summer there were some big changes for Peace - Eagle Lake. The leadership of the group in Eagle Lake decided to officially change their name to Eagle Lake Lutheran Church, as to help them have their own identity separate from Peace, but yet tied to the Eagle Lake community as well as our Lutheran tradition and confessions. The Lord has blessed the work in Eagle Lake, so much so, that the ELS Board for Home Outreach called Pastor Patrick Ernst to serve this new mission full-time. Pastor Ernst was installed in August of 2025. The congregation continues to meet for divine service at City Hall on Sundays at 7:30 and 9am. Check out the Eagle Lake Lutheran Facebook page for their latest updates.

GROW IN THE WORD

“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105) Our church is about much more than an opportunity to worship each week. Compelled by Christ’s love, we serve the Lord by sharing the Gospel, gathering the lost, and strengthening believers. God’s Word gives us sufficient light for each step. To equip the members of our congregation to be faithful servants in our church family, in our homes, in our community, and throughout the world, we offer numerous opportunities for people of all ages to grow in God’s Word through Bible study.

GLORIFY GOD

When pondering God’s love for us and our opportunity to praise and thank him for that love, we recall the words of the Psalm writer: “I rejoice with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the LORD.’” (Psalm 122:1) As we gather each week, we take joy in worshiping God together through Scripture readings, hymns, responsive readings, offerings and prayer.

GIVE LOVE & SERVICE

Having a place in heaven means having a mission on earth. That’s what God means when he says, “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10). Our hope is that through our actions, people can see our faith and, God-willing, come to know Jesus. We have numerous ministry opportunities for small groups to gather – some for personal interaction and encouragement and some for specific acts of service.
